They are based off of a typical household cat, and like many others, they are in desperate need of homes. As I have made this agency to raise awareness of animal endangerment, I have also decided to use this agency to bring awareness to our local shelters, and the plights they face everyday when dealing with our cats and dogs. How would you feel to have to make the decision to euthanize an otherwise healthy cat, just to make room for a mother cat who just had kittens? Or the decision to gas a litter of kittens who's lost their mother and are ridden with fleas? A normal human being couldn't.
Here are some facts about domestic cats in a shelter in the USA.
Of the 1,000 shelters that replied to the National Council's survey, 4.3 million animals were handled.
In 1997, roughly 64 percent of the total number of animals that entered shelters were euthanized -- approximately 2.7 million animals in just these 1,000 shelters. These animals may have been euthanized due to overcrowding, but may also have been sick, aggressive, injured or suffering from something else.
56 percent of dogs and 71 percent of cats that enter animal shelters are euthanized. More cats are euthanized than dogs because they are more likely to enter a shelter without any owner identification.
Only 15 percent of dogs and 2 percent of cats that enter animal shelters are reunited with their owners.
25 percent of dogs and 24 percent of cats that enter animal shelters are adopted.
It is estimated that approximately 3.7 million animals were euthanized in the nation’s shelters in 2008. This number represents a generally accepted statistic that is widely used by many animal welfare organizations, including the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Some of these guys and gals do have special perks to them, mostly pertaining to breeding. Not all will have them.
They are a fun, sweet species of kitty. Their personalities range as vast as your imagination. They come in all colors and markings, and can produce anywhere from 1-4 kits. I call them kits because I wanted to make them somewhat different from the actual cat in which they are based.

that's a good idea, to have an agency started for animal endangerment awarness. i escpecially repect that idea becuase i feel very strongly for animals and feel that humans are sort of like a plague becuase they inhabit an area, use all of it's rescources, and then spread, which is devastating wildlife. i hope your agency helps in fixing the disaster going now. good luck, adoptable pie!
